A Program Rich In Play

Our program is designed to stimulate learning through play activities. Program routines are repeated daily, but within these routines there is much flexibility for each child to develop at their own pace, socially, emotionally, intellectually and physically. There is no separation between work and play – all areas of learning should be fun!

We follow a curriculum based on the interests and needs of the children in the program. Themes focus on topics that are relevant to the child and run for three to four weeks at a time.

Themes frequently included in our program planning are:

  • All About Me
  • Families
  • Feelings/Emotions
  • Community Workers
  • Cars/Trains/Planes
  • Under the Sea
  • Jungle
  • Dinosaurs
  • Castles/Fairytales
  • Pets
  • Seasonal Celebrations
  • Farm
  • Garden/Insects

An Environment Rich In Experience

Our Learning environment is designed to provide a wide range of hands-on experiences that invite the child to explore, experiment and create. It includes areas for large motor play, construction and building, art, sensory play, language, books, music, dramatic play, fine motor manipulatives, and table toy area.

Some important objectives of our program are to help the child to develop independence, friendships, positive self image, language skills, problem solving skills, the ability to express emotions, the ability to share and cooperate as well as to develop respect for self, others and the environment.
